Does the formatting really carry over into Google Docs?
Yes. The tool copies rich HTML to your clipboard, so when you paste into Google Docs it keeps headings, bold/italic, links, bullet and numbered lists, tables, code and blockquotes.
Is my content uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works offline and your text stays private.
Why does pasted formatting sometimes look plain?
Paste with ⌘/Ctrl+V (not “paste without formatting”). If your browser blocks rich clipboard access, the tool falls back to plain text, use a Chromium-based browser for the richest paste.
Can I keep the Markdown and the Doc in sync afterwards?
One-off copy is great for a quick paste. If you need ongoing two-way sync between your Markdown files and the real Google Doc, that is exactly what md2gd does.
